Dance-A-Thon 2006
8th of March 2006 - the day we had our very first Dance-A-Thon to raise funds for our school's Performing Arts Centre.
There were lots of fun-filled activities that day, not forgetting all that were done weeks before the event. We trained for the three dances during PE periods. We participated in Dance Idol 2006 and spent at least a week designing the dance steps and practising them. We made banners to cheer for the finalists from our class.
When our friends were on the stage, we could not control our emotions and screamed our hearts and lungs out for our friends. We even stood up and danced with them!
When we heard that our class clinched the top two prizes, we were even more excited!
"Hip, hip, hurray!" we said the cheer thrice loudly and clearly.
We ended the day with lots of photo-taking.
Congratulations to all the finalists. You did a fabulous job. Congratulations to those of you who cheered for your friends. You make really good cheerleaders! And an additional round of applause goes to those who held the banners high up in the air. Without you, we would not have been spotted!
Thank you once agan for all that fun and laughter. It is a day we will not forget.
